The world's hottest diet

The best way to lead a healthy life:

  • Every meal should include the following elements: lean protein (chicken or low fat dairy), fiber (whole grains), complex carbohydrates (fruits and vegetables), healthy fat (olive oil) and fluids.

  • Stick to low GI foods: Foods such as porridge oats, whole grains, fruit and most vegetables won't cause dramatic changes to your blood sugar levels, keeping you feeling fuller for longer.

  • Eat Small Portions: Each meal should not be more than a bowlful.

  • Exercise daily, at least five times a week: Start with five minutes of cardio, such as skipping rope, running, jogging or brisk walking so as to get your heart pumping at a faster rate. Then work out for three five minute sets for e.g. using hand weights. Further, finish with five minutes cardio.

  • Cheat once a week: Eat the foods you really want. An occasional splurge on calories when your dieting convinces your body not to go into 'famine mode' and keeps your metabolism revved up. Enjoy a glass of wine; it's banned otherwise.

Five ways to live longer:

  • Leave your kettle to sit for a minute after boiling: Just boiled (but not boiling) water causes more antioxidants to be released from you tea bag, and these slow down the aging purpose.

  • Do not use the lift: Take the stairs just six times a day and you will prevent weight gain of 2 to 2.5 kgs a year - which could add two weeks to your life. You could loose 36 days of your life for every 5kg of extra fat you carry.

  • Think about sex in your lunch hour: Getting in the mood early on in  the day makes it more likely that you'll have sex that night. People who have sex more than twice a week live longer than those who don't. This is a fact.....

  • Make Plans: Want to cook more healthily or give up smoking? Plan simple steps to help you achieve your goal, such as buying a cookbook, or getting some nicotine patches, and schedule one step every week.

  • Floss: Flossing daily can take six years off your biological age, as the bacteria causes gum disease and also causes heart and circulation disease.
